Position Responsibilities Include:

  • Creates catering menus that reflect our clients’ needs while also staying within a predetermined budget.
  • Research and purchase catering equipment including dishware, serve ware, furniture, and any other event needs while staying within a predetermined budget.
  • Collaborate with Event Coordinator to create and manage a schedule with detailed information for all events in the Pavilions including but not limited to details of event needs, creating BEO’s, and coordinating and training support staff for events.
  • Works with clients to plan their catering, room setup, special requests, etc.
  • Communicate events to necessary staff, primarily the head chef, in a timely and detailed manner (BEO).
  • Works with Event Coordinator on catering menus and maintaining budgets.
  • Securely organize and store client contact info and payment information to ensure that each client's invoice is accurate to reflect their event. Shares appropriate information with the accounting department in an accurate and timely manner pertaining to each event. 
  • Support on site events on a daily basis including but not limited to coordinating set up and tear down, working with clients to ensure needs are fulfilled.
  • The employee will have a friendly, cheerful, and hospitable demeanor with all staff, clients, and event guests. 
  • The employee will meet and exceed clients expectations in terms of event and customer service
  • The employee will work harmoniously with Pavilion tenants and school.
  • The employee will work with the Operations department as assigned for events.
  • The employee will oversee and supervise café staff and budget.
  • The employee maintains inventory of all catering supplies.
  • The employee responsible for working with youth who have emotional and behavioral issues resulting from trauma and neglect, and who display verbal and physical aggression.
  • The employee works with the Director of Operations to plan and execute all internal events including the staff holiday party, tree trim, company picnic, etc. 
  • The employee will work to support the partners and help to communicate needs to the necessary administration.
  • The employee will perform a daily cleaning to ensure overall kitchen cleanliness. 
  • The employee attends, participates, and demonstrates follow through and execution of PQI tasks.
  • The employee completes any other task(s) as assigned by supervisor(s).

Compensation:

In accordance with the Colorado Equal Pay for Equal Work Act, the expected salary range for this Colorado position is between $55,000-$58,000  per year. Actual pay will be adjusted based on experience and other job related factors permitted by law. 

Requirements

  • Must have at least two years experience in hospitality and catering. 
  • Must type at least 50 words per minute with minimal spelling and grammatical errors.
  • Must maintain a professional appearance, and be customer service oriented. 
  • The employee must be able to stand for long periods of time.
  • The employee must be able to walk, bend, reach, and twist at any given time.
  • The employee must be able to drive during daytime and nighttime hours.
  • The employee must be able to observe multiple environments at the same time.
  • The employee must be able to do light cleaning, as needed.
  • The employee must be able to perform basic math, reading and writing.
  • The employee must have good organizational and planning skills.
  • The employee must be able to switch between activities.
  • The employee must be able to lift up to 50 pounds.
  • The employee must be able to utilize stress coping techniques during crises.
  • The employee must be able to endure verbally escalated clients.
  • The employee must be able to climb a flight of stairs.
  • The employee must be able to lift 20 pounds overhead.
  • The employee must be able to withstand outside temperatures which may include cold, snow, rain and heat.
